Microsoft Sets New Benchmark with Patch Tuesday Fixing Over 600 Vulnerabilities

As part of the comprehensive update, known as KB5101650, Microsoft not only tackled these vulnerabilities but also addressed a troublesome bug that could consume upwards of 500 GB of storage due to a problematic file associated with the Capability Access Manager, exacerbating the ongoing storage limitations many users faced amidst rising SSD prices.
In addition to fixing various security flaws, the update offered users the ability to defer Windows updates for a period of up to 35 days — a feature that was originally part of the Insider program. This change allowed for greater user control over when updates would apply, an important capability for users wary of potential system disruptions.
However, despite the good news, not everything went smoothly for Microsoft. The company noted that this update could be incompatible with certain Dell devices that utilize Intel processors. Problems such as unexpected shutdowns and increased battery drain were cited, prompting Microsoft to collaborate with Dell to swiftly address these compatibility issues.
